South Ozone Park is a neighborhood in the southwestern section of Queens, adjacently north of JFK Airport. Its boundaries extend from the Aqueduct Racetrack eastward to the Van Wyck Expressway. It is a lower-middle-class neighborhood and a magnet for immigrant communities. Its diverse population today includes immigrants from Guyana the Caribbean, India, Latin America, and Bangladesh, among other nations. The area is a mix of single-family and multifamily houses with some apartment buildings. There's little green space, but plenty of large shopping centers, casinos ethnic dining opportunities and subway lines that run into Manhattan. Part of the area has become known as Little Guyana because of the high concentration of Guyanese restaurants and businesses. The area has seen huge development since the 2000s and continues to grow.
