Oakland Gardens Apartments for Rent
About Oakland Gardens Neighborhood

Oakland Gardens is a small neighborhood located just south of Bayside. It's wedged between two large parks--Cunningham Park and Alley Park. Most housing available is apartment housing within a few major co-op housing complexes. Needless to say, rentals and co-op purchases are very affordable in this neighborhood. Aside from a few low-rise apartment buildings, most buildings in the area are in fact, two-story semi-attached houses that contain separate apartments. There are a few single and two-family homes closer to Alley Park and Cunningham Park, also relatively affordable. Oakland Gardens has only two shopping areas, the rest of the neighborhood remaining purely residential. While the residents of Oakland Gardens do not have access to any trains and very few buses, they do have access to plenty of major roadways that surround the area. Living so close to so many parks, and not far from the Queens County Farm Museum make Oakland Gardens a charming place to live.
