Wedged between East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and Corona, is the neighborhood of North Corona, in the northern central area of Queens. It's still in the "train-friendly" part of Queens with the 7 train running along its southern border. This neighborhood is heavily Latino and residential. It makes for a great variety of latin-restaurants featuring cuisines from different Central and South American countries. Housing mostly consists of low-rise apartment buildings and complexes, with only a few single-family houses in the area. Buying or renting are generally affordable options in this neighborhood. North Corona is home to the Louis Armstrong house museum. It is the very house that Louis Armstrong lived in with his wife until his death in 1971 and was donated by his wife to the city to remain as a museum to recognize his musical legacy. It's also relatively easy to catch a Mets game at nearby Citi Field. What's more is that North Corona is close to Flushing Meadow Park which houses the Billie Jean King Tennis Center, the NY Hall of Science, the Queens Zoo, Queens Museum, and much more.
