About Lindenwood Neighborhood

Lindenwood is a subsection of Howard Beach, Queens, also considered the New Howard Beach. The greater neighborhood is very close to JFK airport, Old Mill Creek, and Jamaica Bay. This small area is mostly inhabited by low-rise apartment buildings, but also features a few shopping areas like the Linden Center. While there are a few garden apartments, the majority of housing in Lindenwood is found in co-op buildings. Both renting and owning are very affordable in this area given that it is completely inaccessible by train. There are also few buses traveling to and within Lindenwood and a car is a must for living in the neighborhood.
