About Tudor City Neighborhood

Neighborhood Map image

In 1927, Tudor City was the first residential skyscraper complex in the world. Today it is an officially recognized historic district occupying a small quadrant of the East Side of Manhattan on the edge of Turtle Bay. Tudor City is uniquely set off from the whir of Midtown with apartments facing interior parks and no through-lines of traffic. Four shady private parks, hanging lanterns and stained glass windows give the complex a regal feel. Major selling points for the complex include the ten-minute walk to grand central and the lively community in the private parks in the warmer months. Interestingly, property sales in this unique pocket of Midtown have somewhat moved inversely to the city’s, by actively falling while other prices have climbed.
