About Gramercy Park Neighborhood

Neighborhood Map image

Gramercy Park is one of Manhattan’s most upscale residential neighborhoods located in east central Manhattan. There is a small-town feel with a cozy vibe thanks to the abundance of lush greenery on every block. Housing consists of large spacious brownstones and doorman buildings which come at a very high cost. The architecture is mostly Neo-Gothic and Greek Revival style. This charming, well-kept area offers its residents a peaceful retreat from the fast-paced energy of city life. The neighborhood was designated a historic district in 1966 and remains one of only two private parks in the entire city. Keys to the exclusive Gramercy Park are granted only to residents who live on the park’s perimeter.
