About Chinatown Neighborhood

Chinatown is a bustling ethnic urban enclave located next to Little Italy in Lower Manhattan. Although recently one can find larger populations in places like Flushing and Elmhurst in Queens, Manhattan Chinatown is still one of the oldest and largest surviving Chinese communities outside of Asia, Food, culture, and shopping are just a few of the popular activities within the area. There is an overwhelming amount of fresh and authentic eateries on Mosco Street. Chinatown is probably best-known by tourist for Canal Street where anyone can get their hands on knock-off jewelry, handbags, watches, sunglasses, perfume, etc. Many residents enjoy hearing the musicians and traditional Chinese songs at Columbus Park.
