About Windsor Terrace Neighborhood

Neighborhood Map image

Windsor Terrace is a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood located in the northwestern portion of Brooklyn, next to Park Slope and Kensington. The Prospect Park Expressway bisects it, yet the neighborhood remains quaint and exclusively residential with tree-lined streets. Instead of consisting of mostly brownstones, like Park Slope, most houses are brick, limestone and clapboard townhouses. Nearby green areas include Prospect Park and Green-Wood Cemetery. Both pre-war and postwar apartment buildings can be found throughout. A community farmer’s market operates year-round at Bartel-Pritchard Square, located at the entrance of Prospect Park. The area has maintained a small-town atmosphere thanks to the low traffic volumes.
