About Homecrest Neighborhood

Neighborhood Map image

Homecrest is a neighborhood located in southeast Brooklyn. It is located just north of Sheepshead Bay and is sometimes considered part of it. It is also known for being Brooklyn’s second largest Chinatown, with a recent influx of Asian residents. Neck Road, Kings Highway, Coney Island Avenue, and Avenue U are the main commercial thoroughfares. Shopping and dining are two very popular activities for residents. Housing mostly consists of condominiums, mid-rise brick apartment buildings, detached Victorian homes, and one-story bungalow and brick homes with driveways and backyards. William E Kelly Memorial Park is the community choice for outdoor activities. The overall vibe of the area is tranquil and residential with a splash of liveliness exuding from the commercial areas.
