East Flatbush is a working-class neighborhood located in northeastern Brooklyn. It is bordered by Brownsville, Flatbush, Crown Heights and Flatlands. The residents are mostly made up of African American, West Indian and Caribbean. Most island dishes can be had at local restaurants thanks to the strong Caribbean culture. One popular and very authentic Caribbean staple is Bajan Caf. In comparison to Flatbush, East Flatbush has a smaller amount of Asian and white residents.
