Pelham Gardens Apartments for Rent
About Pelham Gardens Neighborhood
Just west of Baychester, Pelham Gardens has a layout very simillar to quiet residential areas of the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens--that is blocks and blocks of low-rise semi-detached rowhouses, single family homes, an attached multi-family buildings. Occasionally, you might find a small apartment building complex, but expect an atmosphere that's more suburban than urban. Pelham Gardens' busier roads are Eastchester Road and on it's northwestern border, East Gun Hill Road which has some big box stores like Home Depot. Residents can easily get to to the mall at Bay Plaza in neighboring Baychester. While you can catch the 5 train along the eastern end of the neighborhood, driving is going to be your best bet. Most, if not all properties, offer garages or a driveway for this reason. This is also a homeowning section of the Bronx, where single family homes tend to be in the affordable range. There are rentals available in the few multi-family buildings, but so are full homes at very low prices.
